About the Role
Discovery Limited is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support the delivery of machine learning and AI use cases that improve member engagement and operational efficiency. You will work within a team that builds personalised predictive models to encourage healthy behaviours and improve member outcomes.
The role involves taking ownership of defined analytical tasks and delivering well-scoped components of larger projects. You will collaborate closely with senior data scientists to translate complex business questions into analytical problems while ensuring all work is reproducible and well-documented.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
- Proficiency in Python for data science and machine learning
- Strong knowledge of SQL and working with large databases
- Familiarity with NLP, LLM packages, or TensorFlow is advantageous
