Bloemfontein police were guided by tip-offs to the discovery of three women murdered in separate incidents in Caleb Motshabi.

The first incident unfolded when the Kopanong police received information on a potential crime scene inside a shack on Sunday. Acting swiftly, officers arrived at the location to find the shack locked. However, drag marks leading to a pit toilet caught their attention. Upon inspection, the lifeless body of 34-year-old Sinah Bantjies was uncovered. Shockingly, she was wrapped in cellotape and covered in mud. Following investigations, a 43-year-old suspect, who had fled the scene, was identified. Legal proceedings are underway, and he is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein magistrate’s court soon.

In a separate and equally tragic incident, Kopanong police responded to a call about two bodies in a shack at T13 in Caleb Motshabi on Wednesday. Upon arrival, police discovered the lifeless bodies of two women on a bed. Preliminary postmortem results revealed the gruesome details: 91-year-old Sarah Sentlholo had succumbed to poisoning, while her daughter, 66-year-old Rebecca Moyetsane, met a tragic end as she was strangled to death. The investigations into this heart-wrenching incident continue.
